The service robotics industry is expected to increase in the coming years, with a projected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 24.6% from 2021 to 2027, according to Renub Research.
LG is at the forefront of this trend, focusing on its robotics business as a central pillar for future success.
LG has already introduced its CLOi robots, designed to provide various services in different environments, such as restaurants, hotels, museums, shopping malls, and hospitals.
Recently, LG provided South Korea's Changwon Public Library with an LG CLOi GuideBot programmed for library-specific functions, marking the first time an LG CLOi solution has been connected to a library management system.
In addition to the GuideBot, LG provided Changwon Public Library with three LG CLOi ServeBots to improve accessibility and convenience for patrons.
The drawer-type ServeBot helps transport books for children and people with mobility issues.
At the same time, the shelf-type ServeBot assists busy staff by transporting returned books to automated book return desks.
LG CLOi robots are also enhancing the visitor experience at selected museums in South Korea by providing directions, informative commentary, and interactive content.
The CLOi GuideBot is equipped with features such as sign language commentary, easy-to-read subtitles, and route guidance for wheelchair users.
The company's commitment to creating products and solutions that improve people's lives is demonstrated by its investment in future core technologies, including autonomous driving, sensors, artificial intelligence, and cameras.
In addition, as the service robot sector expands, LG's focus on robotics will position the company as a critical player in the industry.
