Samsung Electronics (KRX: 005930) has unveiled the Odyssey Neo G7 (model name: G70NC), its first low-profile mini-LED model to complement its industry-leading Odyssey line of gaming monitors.
The 43-inch monitor features 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160), VESA Display HDR600, and HDR 10+ certification for advanced picture quality.
The Odyssey Neo G7 features Samsung’s Quantum Matrix technology, which uses Quantum Mini LEDs for ultra-fine and precise control of densely packed LEDs. The result is richer blacks, greater color expression, and more detail, even in shadowy gaming environments.
In addition, the matte display reduces light reflection on the screen, minimizing distractions during gameplay and enabling improved visual performance.
The monitor is compatible with various gaming platforms, including DisplayPort or HDMI connector for connecting to a gaming rig or HDMI 2.1 for playing on the latest gaming console.
Users can also play mobile games on the big screen via the built-in WIFI/Bluetooth feature or connect a controller to play games in the cloud without a console.
The Odyssey Neo G7 also features a 144 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time (MPRT) for fast and smooth response and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support, reducing stuttering, input latency, and screen tearing.
The monitor also offers several features, such as the Flex Move Screen, which lets you adjust the screen size and position for optimal gaming settings.
The Odyssey Neo G7 also has smart features, including the Samsung Game Bar, a powerful tool that lets you quickly view and change basic settings without leaving the game screen.
The monitor also has access to Samsung Gaming Hub, an all-in-one game streaming discovery platform that provides instant access to games from partners like Xbox and NVIDIA GeForce NOW without requiring downloads or storage.
Users can access OTT content such as Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube via the Samsung Smart Hub apps.
The Odyssey Neo G7 will be available globally starting Q1 2023, with launch schedules varying by region.
